Showtec Group purchases L-Acoustics K2 system

SINGAPORE: Large-scale local and international rental company, The Showtec Group, has become the first in South East Asia to purchase an L-Acoustics K2 line array system. Distributed through Sennheiser Asia, the system was bought to bolster the group's inventory in anticipation of a host of live concerts, including a performance from Korean girl group, 2NE1, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium that took place in June. 

‘L-Acoustics systems are very popular in show riders and we believe that acquiring the K2 system will help us provide better audio quality for live shows in our region,’ stated Henry Ang, managing director of the Showtec Group. ‘We are very pleased with the technical and sales support from the team at Sennheiser Asia.’

The system purchased included a total of 36 K2 large-format WST line source speakers, 12 K1 SB subwoofers, 24 SB28 subwoofers and 24 LA8 amplifiers. Showtec’s audio crew were given in-depth training on the system by L-Acoustics applications engineer for Asia, Alvin Koh, and the company is now an official rental partner for the K2 system internationally.
