Showtec invests in ARX for Singapores 47th National Day

SINGAPORE: Having previously invested in ARX equipment, Singaporean production company Showtec Communications has recently purchased a further three units of the manufacturer’s MSX 48 16 channel mic/line splitters, bringing its total MSX 48 channel count up to 112.

Showtec's audio production manager Chandra Mohan stated that the first time the racks will be used will be for Singapore's upcoming 47th National Day at The Float @ Marina Bay.

Showtec's audio system for the event will also include 32 replay tracks from a Pro Tools HD system and 36 channels of Shure UHF-R radio mics mixed for FOH on an Avid Venue D-Show console. This will feed a d&b FOH system comprising 64 J8 loudspeakers and 32 J-subs powered by D12 amplifiers. Monitor mixing duties are to be catered for by an Avid Venue Profile console, which will be feeding 40 Sennheiser IEMs from a total of 12 transmitters.

Mr Mohan revealed that all Pro Tools tracks, radio mics and line level signals are being split via their seven units of MSX 48 mic/line splitters.
