Shure holds first round of seminars for Indian market

INDIA: Sun Infonet recently organised the first round of concentrated Shure seminars that the manufacturer has catered towards discussing ‘the critical knowledge requirements of the Indian market’. Taking place in Mumbai, the seminar was hosted by Shure Asia’s product marketing manager, Andy Chang.

The seminar was attended by professionals from the live audio and broadcast audio segments. ‘The extremely encouraging turn out at our seminar was just perfect,’ enthused Alan Chang, director of regional sales for Shure Asia, who was also present. ‘As for the sales of our products, we’ve definitely seen good growth worldwide as well as within the Indian market, and a major reason for this is the fact that we have increased our product offerings.’

Continuing, he said: ‘We’ve invested a lot of resources into developing systems like the Axient and the ULX-D, so we’ve definitely seen good sales returns. We’re also investing heavily into crucial segments like broadcast, and as the seminar has shown – the broadcast market in India is extremely large and professionals here are very serious about its work.

‘The market here has certain key custom requirements in terms of products and features which we will definitely do our best to provide, while keeping the price sensitivities of the market in mind. We will also continue to invest seriously into the concept of technical education and exchanging thoughts and ideas with our consumers through such seminars. We’re absolutely sure that our partners Sun Infonet will deliver their dedicated support towards helping us establish our goals, just like they have been doing for the past decade or so,’ he concluded.

Sunil Malik, MD of Sun Group was also present at the seminar, as Sun Infonet announced the establishment of a new service centre for Shure products in Mumbai.

‘We will be setting up the new state-of-the-art service centre in Mumbai with the view to extend our full support towards Shure users in the western region, particularly towards the broadcast segment,’ said Mr Malik. ‘Shure sees India as an extremely important market that is critical to their growth, and we will continue to help them to achieve their goals by providing dedicated support. We will also feed them with timely important information regarding the product demands from the Indian market, to help them deliver concentrated and precise India-specific solutions to our customers here, thereby ensuring a steady expansion of the Shure brand within the market.’

Mr Malik stated that ‘at the same time, we will also conduct concentrated marketing efforts in the form of road shows and seminars while we reinforce our already strong support structure by adding critical technical manpower. All in all, we’re excited about the new products that Shure has introduced in the Indian market, and we’re positive that they have a great future here. Plus through our efforts to take the brand forward, we hope to have the best market share possible in the times to come.’

Shure and Sun Infonet plan to conduct similar seminars in Pune, Kochi, Trivandrum, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Lucknow and Delhi.
