Singapore Hard Rock Café switches to EAW

SINGAPORE: The Hard Rock Café in Singapore’s Orchard Road district has been installed with a new EAW front of house (FOH) speaker system. The new sound system was designed and installed by regional Loud Technologies distributor Electronics & Engineering Pte Ltd (E&E).
The decision to change the front of house system follows E&E’s installation of two EAW LA215 loudspeakers into the venue’s VIP function room earlier this year, the completion of which prompted a visit by EAW founder Kenton Forsyth.
‘The management were very happy with the sound quality of the new EAW speakers hence their decision to replace their main front of house system,’ commented Ronald Goh, managing director of E&E.
The new larger install comprises six EAW JFL210 compact line array elements flown three per-side plus four JFL 118 18-inch subwoofers ground-stacked two per-side. After the loudspeakers were fitted, the venue’s manager Mark Chan declared that the sound system was ‘awesome’, adding: ‘the audio is so much clearer and has much more punch than the previous FOH speakers that we had installed just over three to four years ago.’
