‘Small-but-powerful’ KV2 system powers Super Loco
Published: ASIA
SINGAPORE: Located on Robertson Quay in Singapore, Super Loco is a new Mexican style restaurant serving fresh Latin American cuisine with cocktails. Not on the menu, but equally as important, the latest international eatery also dishes out clean SPLs courtesy of a KV2 Audio system installed and designed by Valentine Music Centre.
Following an equipment demonstration by Valentine Music Centre’s Desmond You, restaurant manager AJ was sufficiently impressed enough to give the approval for the installation of three ceiling mounted ESD36 speakers. Firing inwards at diners, the ESD36 three-way enclosures are powered by dual KV2 Audio ESP2000 amplifiers, whilst a dbx Driverack PA2 processor managers the system. An MP3 player and CD players together with a TASCAM mixer are used as sources.
‘The owner loves them as they provide a very detailed and warm sound, despite being deceptively powerful,’ explained Mr You. ‘He didn't think that three compact speakers would be enough for the restaurant’s needs, especially when a DJ is in residence, but as he discovered – it is more than ample.’
