Sound Solution equips Seocheon Concert Hall with A/V system

KOREA: As a result of its recent workforce expansion, Samsung has built a new training centre and concert hall in Yongin, in South Korea’s Gyeonggi province. Sound Solution was awarded the contract to design and install an A/V system for the main concert hall, drawing inspiration from both the Goyang Aram Concert Hall situated north of Seoul, as well as the Sage Gateshead concert venue in the UK.

The Seocheon Concert Hall is a multi-function room that Samsung also plans to use during its strategy meetings. As a result, the space has been equipped with a variable reverberation system featuring motorised sound-absorption curtains to fine-tune it for different applications.

The team installed 12 Lab.gruppen PLM10000Q amplifiers with built-in Dolby Lake DSP processors into the hall, as well a Midas Pro9 digital mixing console as the main desk and Midas Pro 1 analogue console for sub-mixing. An automatic system was also put in place to switch between the two desks.
