Sound Solution takes Midas and Klark Teknik in Korea

KOREA: Sound Solution has become the new exclusive distributor of Midas and Klark Teknik in Korea. According to CEO Hong Lee, the recent launch of the mid-format Pro2 digital console was a key part of the reason for the new agreement. ‘The Pro2 will take our market by storm,’ he commented. ‘It was very much part of the decision. This is going to be a new era for Midas in Korea.’
The relationship between the distributor and the Music Group-owned brands was officially introduced on the first day of KoSound 2011, which is currently taking place at the Kintex exhibition centre, near Seoul. On a heavily Midas-themed booth, Mr Lee was quick to praise the mixer brand, describing it as ‘one of the most prestigious console brands available in the pro audio industry.’ He added: ‘This has become the perfect marriage’.
Regarding Sound Solution’s plans for Midas and Klark Teknik, Mr Lee explained that after-sales support is central to the company’s strategy. ‘We believe that the product we sell needs to be backed up with technical support and system management. This is where Sound Solution excels in the Korean market. We will get behind the products that we sell, especially Midas – which is a top of the market desk, and we will follow up on every sale that we make. It’s all about after-sales.’
Sound Solution engineers are also due to visit Midas’ headquarters in the UK for training. ‘In two weeks time we’re sending three of our engineers to Midas for full training,’ Mr Lee explained. ‘They’re going to come back and teach our distributors in the local market and also our own guys to make sure that we can offer one hundred per cent sales support in everything that we do.’
