Soundcraft launches online educational video series
Published: ASIA
WORLD: Soundcraft has published a new instructional series of ‘How To’ videos on its website. The videos are focused around the manufacturer’s Si Series digital consoles and include a range of topics from basic operation through to advanced tips and tricks designed to help users get the most from their mixing desks when used for live sound, recording or fixed-installation applications.
‘The video series offers real-world information and depth of subject matter for a broad spectrum of users, whether they’ve never had their hands on a Soundcraft console before and need to get up and running quickly, or have mixed hundreds of shows and want to dig deeply into a console’s feature set,’ explained Keith Watson, marketing director for Soundcraft and Studer.
‘At Soundcraft we’re dedicated to providing our users with the educational tools they need to get the most out of their consoles. We’d like to think our video series is the next best thing to having a front of house engineer standing next to you behind the console.’
Alongside the ‘How To’ series, there is a video vault covering every Soundcraft console range with a variety of topics is offered, from basic operation and configuration, gain structure, channel assignment and using EQ and effects, to manufacturer-specific features like the Vistonics II touchscreen interface and FaderGlow colour-coded faders.
The videos can be found at http://www.soundcraft.com/support/videos.aspx?c=15 or alternatively can be viewed from our education website, www.proaudioeducation.com. Simply search for Soundcraft when you arrive.
