Soundking reveals future plans at exchange meeting

CHINA: Soundking recently held an exchange meeting during the Shanghai Pro Light + Sound exhibition, in which the Ningbo-based manufacturer outlined its strategic future development in mutual cooperation with its international customers.
Held at a five-star hotel on October 12th, CEO Zhanjie Fu emphasised a ‘win-win situation’ for the manufacturer and its selected sales partners. Following a demonstration of the new products such as the FPH15a loudspeaker, Mr Fu then delivered a speech outlining Soundking’s future three-to-five year strategic development.
Mr Fu was appointed as Soundking Group CEO in January 2012 following an eight-year tenure at IAG in Shenzhen where he served as the VP for manufacturing and R&D. ‘I was brought in to take this company forward to the next level,’ announced Mr Fu. ‘Soundking currently draws on 24 years of valuable expertise, and to take us forward we are currently modernising our extensive production facilities.’
Having participated at international trade shows such as NAMM and the Frankfurt Pro Light + Sound since the mid 1990s, Soundking was somewhat ahead of the other Chinese domestic producers in marketing itself to overseas markets. As a result, its overseas marketing led to the development of its international sales channels.
The Chinese domestic market is clearly important to Soundking, as Mr Fu revealed. ‘The MI market is growing in China. As the GDP rises, we are well positioned to take advantage of this continued evolution in Chinese entertainment, which has largely been confined to karaoke and cinema.
‘However, it’s vital now as a manufacturer to share our forward vision with our international partners including our branding, our products and our many accessories. We are paying more attention to our R&D services and our speed of delivery. As we become more innovative, efficient and faster in the manufacturing process, our sales partners will benefit greatly. Our greatest growth will be in the export market.’
Having acquired three high profile brands in Cadac, Carlsboro and Studiomaster in recent years, the Soundking Group has grown in its international appeal. ‘We’re in excellent financial health and our management team is the best, so all the 1,800 employees working for the group are motivated, focused and above all happy in their work. We actually think we have set a new benchmark or standard here in China for others to emulate,’ he added.
‘As a Chinese manufacturer, 24 years of experience is a long time, but we now implementing structures that will ensure Soundking is going to be in business after 100 years. In 10-20 years time from now – or even longer – we aim to be the first rank of the world in this industry.’
Following a raffle draw of prizes and presentation of gifts and awards, a banquet and musical performance concluded the day’s proceedings.
