Sovico provides operational support for 2014 Asian Games

KOREA: As one of the biggest sponsors of the 17th Asian Games, Sovico is working with SK Telecom to provide operational services throughout the games’ events. Located in Incheon, the games run from 19th September to 4th October and encompass 36 separate games to be played across 49 competition venues.

‘We will send out our technicians to each venue of the Incheon Asian Games and to ensure smooth operation of the process and its sound quality, we will install our Inkel PA equipments, which we took over last year, at each stadium,’ explained CEO Daniel Kwon.

Sovico is supporting about 150 sound engineers in total, no small feat. However, the company has a distinguished record of supporting similarly high-profile sporting events such as the 2002 FIFA World Cup, Summer Universiad 2003 and the 2011 IAAF World Championships, all of which took place in Daegu. The company therefore considers itself the perfect collaborator to partner with SK Telekom, whose role is to manage communications operations for the event.
