Sovico Systems takes QSC in Korea

KOREA: QSC Audio has appointed Sovico System as its new exclusive distributor in South Korea, with Andy Pearce, QSC director of sales for the Asia Pacific, explaining that the new partners are set to ‘undertake an aggressive sales and service training strategy across our product portfolio in the coming months’.
Sovico System – a daughter company of the larger Sovico Corporation – was previously known in the South Korean market as Audioworks. Its rebranding coincides with the arrival of DJ Kwon as its CEO. Alongside QSC, the company’s portfolio includes HH Electronics, BBE, Earthworks, Alto Professional, Numark and more.
‘As QSC has expanded so we require distributors who excel in all areas of our business, from more retail based portable PA sales through to large complex multi-vendor installed A/V system sales and everything in-between,’ explained Mr Pearce. ‘After initial discussions a visit to Sovico System confirmed them as the right partner who could meet our growth aspirations in all areas.’
He added: ‘It was their ability to excel in all of our pro audio product lines that made this the right choice for QSC. We could not have a better partner than Sovico System in Korea.’
