Stagetec celebrates 20th anniversary by unveiling new facility

WORLD: Although Frederich Salzbrenner celebrated his 80th birthday in December 2012, the company he founded, Stagetec, only came into existence 20 years ago. To celebrate the company’s 20th anniversary together with the unveiling of a new production facility adjacent to the river Spree, Stagetec recently held a party for all its distributors, employees and special guests.
At the celebration event, musical acts performed on the sunny lawn in front of the Tabbertstrasse HQ, whilst guests were treated amongst other things to a barbeque, special Aurus cake and selection of German beers.
‘Today, we serve markets on every continent and in all areas where pro audio technology is used,’ announced Dr Klaus-Peter Scholz. ‘This global activity has stimulated our growth continuously. We are particularly grateful to the Salzbrenner family not only for enabling us to have a great start but also for their continuous support and for helping us consolidate our position in the market. We look forward all the more to the continuing success of the Mediagroup.’
Following welcome drinks, guests were invited to witness a ribbon being cut, allowing them access to the newly constructed extension to the facility.
‘Nowadays, we are working in parallel on several products and need not only more staff and offices but also the appropriate labs and testing environments,’ explained head of development and one of the executive directors of Stagetec, Dr Helmut Jahne. ‘Therefore our company’s anniversary is also the perfect occasion to open our new annex, which enlarges our premises on the river Spree to more than 4,000 sq-m. This is a very good reason for organising a big summer party for our many customers, partners, suppliers and staff.’
The digital innovator was created in 1993 as a separate R&D company for digital routing systems and mixing consoles from a team initially assembled by a noted German microphone manufacturer to produce analogue mixing consoles. Making up for lost time over the course of the following two decades, the innovative German company has made its mark thanks to its big brother in Northern Bavaria. The initial 13 graduate engineers of the employee-owned Stagetec still remain at the Berlin headquarters.
