Stagetec Mediagroup Australia to represent Brähler

AUSTRALIA: German conferencing specialist Brähler has appointed Stagetec Mediagroup Australia as its national sales distributor. Talks between the two companies began more than a year ago, explained Stagetec Australia managing director Treva Head, while both parties ‘feel that the time is now right for us to form a partnership’.
Based in Sydney, Stagetec Mediagroup Australia was founded in the summer of 2011 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of its German parent company Stagetec Salzbrenner Mediagroup. Its move towards complementary third-party distribution follows the success of the same model elsewhere in Asia.
‘Brähler’s background is very similar to Salzbrenner Stagetec – an extremely well respected German professional audio company with a strong family heritage,’ commented Mr Head. ‘It is a leader in large conferencing and interpreter systems, while Stagetec is a leader in digital audio systems, consoles and distribution. Our products have great synergy and will complement each other perfectly.’
The managing director added that the relationship will focus on more than just sales. ‘Stagetec Mediagroup Australia provides Brähler access to our strong and ever growing customer base,’ he explained. ‘Our local office is not just about sales – we are a strong systems engineering house, which means that we can provide local support for all systems in our time zone, and design large scale systems in house.’
He concluded: ‘The Brähler product range is very exciting for us as it opens up many new doors which were previously closed to us. We often talk with customers about our products and we see opportunities for conferencing and interpretation systems that we have never been able to provide. With the expansive range that Brähler has, we can now provide perfectly scaled solutions, both complementing our own products, but also standalone Brähler systems to our customers.’
