WORLD: UK-based windshield and suspension system manufacturer Rycote has announced the departure of sales and marketing director Stefano Pucello, who will leave the company at the end of June. Mr Pucello, a popular and well known figure within the global industry, has described the move as ‘leaving on a high note’.
Mr Pucello first joined Rycote in January 2010, first as sales and marketing manager before later becoming a director in 2011. During his tenure, Rycote successfully diversified from its original broadcast supply base into the pro audio and DSLR accessories markets, involving a great deal of international travel to set up and service new sales outlets.
‘It's always important to leave a company on a high note, having achieved what you came onboard to accomplish, and Rycote has expanded enormously into new markets during the time I've been here,’ explained Mr Pucello. ‘I have made a lot of friends at Rycote both in the UK and overseas, and I wish everyone the best for the future.’
Mr Pucello does not yet have plans regarding his next move, adding: ‘After a short break, I will begin looking for a new professional challenge’. Rycote’s sales team will now be led by the company’s managing director and co-owner Simon Davies.
‘Stefano has been a key member of the Rycote team for over three and a half years, working hard to maintain and develop our reputation internationally during a time of great change, and we will all miss him,’ commented Mr Davies. ‘He's helped us launch the Universal Camera Kit and the USM internationally to the DSLR and pro audio markets, together with their many spinoffs. We are grateful to him, and hope he enjoys his well-deserved time off.’
