CHINA: Three regional broadcasters on the Chinese mainland have adopted Studer’s OnAir 3000 digital console as the centrepiece for new or renovated facilities following a number of installations by Chinese Harman Professional distributor ACE.
Chengdu-based Sichuan Radio and Television Station Broadcasting, Jiangsu province’s Wuxi Broadcast TV and Radio, and Fujian Broadcasting have all taken delivery of OnAir 3000 consoles plus a wealth of additional equipment from Harman Professional brands.
Sichuan Radio has purchased 14 Studer desks comprising a mixture of OnAir 3000 and OnAir 2500 models for deployment throughout the 15 on-air rooms in its newly constructed headquarters. The master control room in the facility is fully digital and offers simulated analogue signals for backup purposes, commitment program exchanges and transmission capabilities, among other tasks. The audio system controls synchronisation of the clock system, internal communications and video surveillance throughout the studio.
Also included in the installation are 14 pairs of JBL LSR4326P and two LSR4328P studio monitors, four JBL Control 25 loudspeakers, a Soundcraft Vi6 digital console and Soundcraft FX16ii and EFX8 analogue mixers used for backup purposes.
Elsewhere, the Fujian Broadcast station has installed a large variety of Studer equipment as part of a major renovation programme encompassing six live rooms, two backup live rooms, 10 recording rooms, two dialogue recording rooms, two monitoring rooms and the master control room.
The broadcaster now owns six OnAir 3000s, four OnAir 2500s, two OnAir 2000s and four OnAir 1000s, while monitoring is being delivered via 11 pairs of JBL LSR4328P enclosures plus six pairs of LSR2325P and four pairs of LSR4326P. Two Soundcraft Vi1 16-channel consoles have also been purchased.
Finally, five OnAir 3000s and five OnAir 2000s – all based on Studer’s SCore Router – have been supplied to the Wuxi Radio station following a renovation of its facilities.
