Studiomaster and Carlsbro host distributor conference at Music China

CHINA: Studiomaster and Carlsbro have hosted a joint international distributor conference at the Ningbo headquarters of their Soundking Group parent company, south of Shanghai. The two-day conference provided an opportunity for individual Studiomaster and Carsbro distributors to become distributors of both brands.

20 distributors were invited to the conference, which was hosted by Soundking Group President Mr Wang. Attendees benefitted from a tour of the site’s manufacturing, R&D and product development facilities, and were given the opportunity to assess new products at various stages of development, providing feedback in discussions with R&D managers, as well as discussing ideas for future product development.

During the seminar, the Soundking Group announced that it has set plans that will see all PA product lines marketed under the Studiomaster brand, while Carlsbro will focus on the expansion of its product range and market share of the musical instrument electronics market. The parent company also discussed how it plans to provide distributors and dealers with comprehensive product ranges across the pro-audio and MI sectors to enable improved retail penetration for both brands.

‘Our presence at Music China and the subsequent distributor conference has provided a unique and, I think, a very valuable opportunity for key distributors to understand better the strategic benefits and trading opportunities provided by our having a common parent company, and the new business relationships that that engenders,’ said Patrick Almond, Soundking Group Europe marketing manager. ‘It also provided an opportunity for the Soundking Group to develop direct relationships with our distributors, and make themselves personally known to them.’

Describing the conference as ‘entertaining and highly productive’, Mr Almond continued, saying that ‘significant developments included not only the appointment of joint distributors for the two brands, but also new product development ideas and potential improvements, both cosmetically and in terms of performance, to existing products. In all, the conference was a significant event going forward for the group, and an initiative we’ll be sure to repeat,’ he enthused.
