Sun Infonet assumes full DampM distributorship in India

INDIA: Building on its success as the Indian distributor of Allen & Heath, New Dehli-based Sun Infonet has been announced as assuming exclusive distribution for all D&M Professional brands including Denon. The deal was formalised during a meeting between Sun Infonet director Neeraj Chandra and D&M vice president of sales Bob Goleniowski at the recent Frankfurt Pro Light & Sound 2012 exhibition.

Established under the Sun Group in 2003, Sun Infonet represents a fleet of high end brands throughout India including Shure, Nexo, Camco, Quest and of course Allen & Heath, a key brand in the Indian market that the company began representing five years ago.

Following the announcement, Neeraj Chandra was particularly enthusiastic about the potential of Denon under Sun Infonet’s stewardship. ‘D&M decided to further strengthen the relationship with Sun for Denon as we were proven partners in terms of growth of business and fulfilling our commitments by promoting the brand and ensuring timely release of payments,’ he explained.

‘Sun today has a complete range of pro audio equipment and with the addition of Denon we are able to meet the requirements of any professional user. The brand is well known in India and we are hoping to achieve major market share soon.’

Bob Goleniowski was equally pleased with the new agreement, commenting: ‘Sun Infonet are a strong company offering a professional sales platform that will develop new business opportunities in a considered and structured manner. This style of business is vital to the development of all businesses operating in a dynamic and growing market such as India. D&M Professional is very pleased to have them as our distributor for this market.’

Finally, Mr Chandra outlined his plans for the Denon brand within India, indicating that road shows and artist relations are set to become key strategies in growing the brand.

‘Sun and Denon have great plans to launch the complete range by participating in tradeshows, going ahead with road shows in various cities, and signing important DJs,’ he explained. ‘We will also go ahead with an advertising and marketing campaign as is being done for other brands, while investing in spares to ensure that Indian customers are well supported with an excellent after sales service.’
