Sun Infonet heads for the clouds

INDIA: Situated right in the heart of Delhi’s Khan market, Sun Infonet has installed a new PA system into the Wok In The Clouds bistro bar and music venue. The installation, designed by product and application manager, Vijay Sinha, is based around Nexo’s PS10 full-range and PS8 compact cabinets.
Khan market is described as one of the classiest shopping streets in India, bringing all the top designer brands together in one place. Inside Wok In The Clouds the venue is divided into two sections. On the first floor there is a restaurant and on the second floor, a lounge bar and small open terrace.
‘This is the fourth bar in our Wok In The Clouds chain and we have installed Nexo in every location,’ said Mr Bobby, the venue owner. ‘With the new Nexo system installed, customers are enjoying the luxury of crystal-clear music to accompany our superb hospitality.’
The first challenge for the team was ensuring even and uniform sound throughout all sections of the bar, and since the ceiling was unusually low, this meant small compact speakers had to be utilised. The specified system comprises PS10-R2 cabinets with LS600 subwoofers for the main lounge area, with additional PS8 speakers installed to cover the VIP seating and other dining areas. These two systems are zoned to allow the venue to cater to weekend and private parties without interrupting usual operations.
The first floor restaurant, which is primarily used for fine-dining, is equipped with compact PS8 cabinets connected to an LS600 sub. Both systems are run and controlled by two NXAMP 4x1 signal processors. The four-channel digital amplifier comes with factory-tested presets for the Nexo loudspeakers built-in which the engineers used to help install and commission the entire system quickly.
