Symetrix names first technical sales engineer for Asia

ASIA: Symetrix has created a new position of technical sales engineer for Asia in response to its growth within the region. Filling the newly created role is Singapore-based Hock Thang, a former technical sales associate for the company who is described as possessing ‘a deep understanding of the Symetrix product line’.
In his new role Mr Thang will be responsible for assisting Symetrix customers with both pre- and post-sale technical support, though education is also expected to form part of his remit. The manufacturer has indicated that the technical sales engineer will be providing its Asian distributors with ‘engaging, practical product training on a regular basis’.
‘Hiring Hock to this newly created position represents a big step forward for Symetrix in Asia,’ enthused Paul Roberts, vice president of sales and marketing. ‘It’s clear that our Asian distributors are making substantial contributions to Symetrix’ growth, and we want to support their present and future efforts by creating this dedicated technical sales position for the region.
