Taiden hosts 15th anniversary celebration on eve of Palm Expo China

CHINA: In just a decade and a half, Shenzhen-based manufacturer and conferencing product innovator Taiden has taken the Chinese and international markets by storm. Boasting 34 dealers in mainland China and with 109 distributors representing the company worldwide beyond its own borders, Taiden invited its army of dealers, distributors and customers to its 15th anniversary Green Development Win-Win Together celebration on the eve of the Palm Expo China exhibition.

Staged in the ballroom of the China National Convention centre, the event brought back a feeling of déjà vu for general manager Zhou Qing Dong and his team, as this was the venue where Taiden exclusively supplied its conferencing systems to the world’s press during the 2008 Olympic Games. Over 1,000 attendees assembled for the day, in which new products were unveiled, keynote speeches were made and a number of dealers and distributors were awarded recognition for their sales efforts.

The significant unveiling of the day was the release of the paperless congress system. ‘Technology and good quality is recognised around the world and our achievements in the 2008 Olympic Games, United Nations and 16th Asian Games are testimony to that,’ asserted Zhang Wencai, who is the assistant chief engineer of the China Architectural Design & Research Group. ‘Since 1996, Taiden have taken their unique digital technology to the world and succeeded. They are breaking new ground in conferencing products and we’re particularly proud as this is a Chinese brand with patented technology.’

Bill Weber was the chief interpreter at the Beijing Olympic Games and had flown in from the USA to deliver a speech. ‘I have become good friends with Taiden and I have been touched by the Chinese hospitality. Their simultaneous translation conferencing systems break new grounds in infra-red technology. It’s the first multimedia conferencing system in the world to combine environmental efficiency with high efficiency operation in answer to the UN committee’s request for greener products. Green development is the future and with the new paperless congress system, Taiden have taken that step forward.’

Having pushed conferencing boundaries in 2010 with the launch of the innovative HCS8300 touch screen system, Taiden certainly hasn’t rested on its laurels. Taiden’s vice general manager Ye Dong Mao unveiled the company’s new product to the excited masses.

‘There seem to be no new products out in the market at present – just updates,’ he announced. ‘But here at Taiden we have brought a new concept to the world which will allow delegates to perform all their tasks such as electronic voting and downloading delegate information without having to clutter their workspace. The touch screen products that we are now shipping offer a reduction in paper printing and lower power consumption. They are highly effective as they are very flexible and easier to use, while the operations are secure.’

Taiden also unveiled its International Congress Rental Network during the four hour spell, before a roll call of hard selling distributors were invited on stage to collect their awards. ‘Taiden are a driving force for this industry sector and we are proud to represent them in Malaysia,’ commented Acoustic & Lighting GM Kim Yeo San. ‘Their products are outstanding as infra-red technology assures that there are no leaks of information outside the room and there is no interference, which is exactly what our customers want.’
