The pro audio industry celebrates the marriage of Colin and Treysa Quek

SINGAPORE: Sentosa Island's W Hotel was the setting for a recent high profile pro audio wedding on January 11th. The joining together of Colin and Treysa Quek was celebrated by some 450 guests in the hotel's lavish ballroom, who were treated to a nine-course banquet.

Now considered an industry veteran having served in high profile sales positions with Behringer, Mackie and Martin Audio over the past 11 years, Mr Quek now concentrates on systems integration in South East Asia with his company Trektech AV.

His long-standing friendships within the industry ensured that Colin and Treysa's big day resembled a trade show gathering on some of the louder tables. Mr Quek's good friend Ted Singh of TSB Productions ensured that the live musical acts, BGM and video playback were all greatly enhanced. An active EAW NTL loudspeaker system was mixed on a DiGiCo SD9 console, whilst Clay Paky Alpha 700 moving heads, spots and Oracle Lasers lit up the celebration.

Distinguished guests included Dindae Sheena (EAW), Alex Schlosser (Global Market Management), Hock Thang (Symetrix), Chad Batchelor (Consolidated Audio Networks), Eugene Benitez (Mackie), Thomas Mittelmann (various), Gary Goh, (Electronics & Engineering Pte Ltd), Marne N Mittelmann (Pro Audio Asia), Kamal Mahtani (Klotz ais) and Christopher Lim.

As Singapore's previously most eligible bachelor (not Chad) headed for his suite at the end of the night, the sound of sobbing single girls became apparent as the SPL levels dropped. However, on a brighter note, Mr Quek will appear at a real trade show again soon at Frankfurt Pro Light & Sound.
