The Production Co expands RCF inventory with NX system

NEW ZEALAND: Using an RCF NX system, The Production Co recently carried out a country-wide tour with Kids for Kids, featuring singer Suzanne Prentice and a choir of up to 600 primary children from local schools.
The company initially purchased four NX 23-A mid highs with two twin 15- and two single 21-inch subs from distributor Direct Imports, which recommended the system as an easy solution for the tour. The Production Co director Paul van’t Hof stated that he ‘immediately saw the benefits of owning more NX’ and quickly purchased more boxes, including some for sister company PA Sound, taking the total inventory up to 24 NXs and 14 subwoofers.
‘Having a system that can be flown, ground stacked or used as single boxes on a stand is awesome,’ said Mr van’t Hof. ‘It means that you can utilise the NX system in so many ways: drum fill, side fill, as a ground stacked system for pub work, as a flown system in theatres and churches, as a delay ring or as a small DJ system with subs and pole mounts. The other big positive is return on investment. The Production Co has a variety of sound systems to cater for different clients, while some more expensive systems are spec’d on riders.
‘The RCF is a good midrange system, returning a great return on investment,’ he enthused. ‘We have also invested in the RCF TT08s for in-fills, and this excellent sounding box allows us to do many things with its high output and small size.’
Mr van’t Hof asserted that he ‘would recommend the NX boxes to any prospective buyer. They are a great all purpose box and the gap between them and the top of the line audio boxes is not huge.’
