The Production People invests in DPA

SINGAPORE: Technical production company The Production People (TPP) has recently invested in DPA microphones supplied by UniAudio Asia for its various events across Asia. Based in Singapore, TPP has added eight 2011C twin diaphragm units, 16 d:fine omni directional headset mics and 10 4099 instrument mics (V, C, B and P models) to its inventory that already includes DPA’s d:fine, d:vote, d:facto and 2011C reference mics.
‘DPA products are designed and built to a very high standard, both in build and sound quality,’ said TPP MD Sheldon Gooi. ‘What impresses me is whenever we deploy these mics, it never fails to draw a smile out of the sound engineer.’
So far the new purchases have been put to use for an orchestra mic-up, whilst the earsets have been deployed for musicals.
‘For these events they have performed wonderfully,’ he enthused. ‘We get the most natural sound out of the mics, and they are very stable, with high gain before feedback. We will definitely purchase more DPA mics. We are planning to get a few d:facto vocal mics to use with our wireless system, and also increase the inventory of our existing models.
‘UniAudio Asia has been key to our decision in investing in DPA,’ he pointed out. ‘Their availability to demonstrate the stock and thier willingness to bend over backwards to get us stock in time to meet our schedules has been critical in allowing us to deliver on our promises to our clients.’
