The Sam Willows join Shure Artist family

SINGAPORE: The Sam Willows have become the latest band to join the Shure Artist family.

Formed in mid-2012, the band is made up of siblings Benjamin and Narelle Kheng and their friends Sandra Riley Tang and Jon Chua. In the past, the band won a week of studio time with five-time Grammy award winning producer Steve Lillywhite, CBE, courtesy of The Music Society, Singapore, and were invited to play at three other international music festivals; the Digital and Music Matters in Singapore (May 2013), as well as MU:CON and Zandari Festa in Seoul, South Korea (October 2013) and the Western Australian Music Festival (WAM 2013) in Perth, Australia.

‘The band members are excited about this fantastic support from Shure and Electronics & Engineering Pte Ltd,’ said Audrey Lim, manager of The Sam Willows. ‘This relationship enables them to use the best gear for all their recordings and performances, both live and in the recording studios.’

‘We are very proud to be supporting The Sam Willows and to be contributing to the rapidly growing local music industry in Singapore,’ commented Gary Goh, deputy managing director at Electronics & Engineering Pte Ltd.

At the launch of the Shure display wall at Luther Music, Mr Goh presented The Sam Willows with a Shure KSM353/ED premier bi-directional ribbon microphone. Luther Music offers a place for professional or amateurs to experience hands on testing of Shure microphones and other Shure products.

‘Our staff here at Luther Music are technically trained to answer queries and are proficient with the Shure brand of products, and are able to make recommendations to our customers based on their requirements and usage,’ commented Luther Ong, managing partner of Luther Music.
