The sun rises for TASCAM in India

INDIA: Japanese manufacturer TASCAM has appointed Sun Broadcast Equipments Pvt Ltd as a distributor in India with immediate effect. Incorporated in 2002, Sun Broadcast Equipments Pvt Ltd is a subsidiary of the larger Sun Group representing brands such as Autocue, Sony, Seachange, Streambox and Tektronix.
Sun Group CEO Vinit Govil explained why they had taken on the TASCAM brand in India. ‘TASCAM enjoys a very high brand reputation already in India for innovative, reliable and cost effective products. Sun Broadcast is quite eager to work with the Japanese manufacturer to gain further leverage in the audio market, whilst maximising business through our current distribution network. We will make a breakthrough for the brand by providing our full service support for TASCAM customers, allowing them to enjoy the full benefits of their investments for a longer period. We will endeavour to provide complete customer satisfaction.’
In reply, TASCAM Asian sales manager Mitsuyasu Konishi was full of praise for the New Delhi-based company. ‘We're excited and very happy to start this new business relationship with Sun Broadcast. The company has a thorough understanding and knowledge of the Indian broadcast market through their current distribution of Sony products. In addition, they command a wide sales channel and strong after-sales service team. I believe that both our pro audio and MI products will gain greater acceptance in India through their sales channel. There's great market potential in India, and I believe our wide-ranging product range will succeed through this relationship with Sun Broadcast Equipments.’
