Thomas Mittelmann returns to Community to head Asian Pacific sales

ASIA: Community Professional Loudspeakers has announced the return of Thomas Mittelmann to its ranks, having named him Asian Pacific director of business development. The manufacturer’s sales and marketing director, Julia Lee, has described Mr Mittelmann – returning to the company after a decade away – as bringing ‘invaluable international sales experience and market knowledge’ with him.
A well known industry figure, Mr Mittelmann most recently spent two years successfully building and marketing the Italian amplifier brand Powersoft whilst overseeing sales in Asia. Prior to that, he spent seven years with Lab.gruppen, a time when the Swedish manufacturer experienced rapid growth. Here he oversaw all the overseas sales but focused primarily on Asia, which prompted his relocation from Germany to Singapore in 2007.
Mr Mittelmann’s original stint with Community lasted eight years during the 1990s, during which time he handled European sales. His return to the company is well-timed as Community continues to see significant growth in international markets alongside the expansion of its product range.
‘He is joining our team at a pivotal time for our company, which has been experiencing strong growth despite the economic climate,’ commented Julia Lee. ‘We’re excited to have him on board to help us grow our presence in the Asia Pacific region, especially in important expanding markets like China and India.’
Following the announcement, Mr Mittelmann was enthusiastic regarding his new role. ‘I'm very happy to be re-joining Community and in many ways it feels a bit like coming home; most of the same great people and spirit,’ he said. ‘But 10 years is a long time and Community has grown on all levels and with a much expanded product range. During this time I have also had the privilege of learning a lot, much of which I look forward to using in my new role and the markets I will be working in. Together we will serve the needs of the region even better, to the benefit of all existing and future Community customers.’
