SINGAPORE: Since the severance of exclusive distribution terms with Harman in Singapore and Malaysia on February 1st, Electronics & Engineering Pte Ltd (E&E) has wasted little time in unveiling replacement brands. From March 1st, a further three manufacturers – Furman Sound, Powersoft and Symetrix – have followed EAW and Mackie to distribute their products in both of these South-East Asian territories.
‘I’d like to go on the record what a wonderful job that Pro Aktiv Systems has done for Powersoft over the past three years,’ offered Powersoft’s Thomas Mittelmann. ‘However, we couldn’t ignore E&E’s 60 years’ pedigree in the market and their future potential under Gary Goh. When I attended the recent 60th anniversary dinner, I came away feeling an enormous respect for the E&E staff members who show great spirit, determination and commitment overall. For Powersoft, the future is bright as E&E are an extremely well managed company who are great to work with and as such, we aim to support them as much as possible.’
Having distributed Crown since day one when it was manufacturing tape machines and power amplifiers to drive studio monitor speakers, E&E has recently made a priority of finding a respected and reliable amplifier brand, given the multitude of projects it supplies to in the region.
‘Powersoft are a family owned company who you can work with on a one-to-one basis, which is something that really appeals to us at E&E,’ explained Gary Goh. ‘The synergy between Powersoft and ourselves is already there and they manufacture amplifiers that cater to all the market segments we’re interested in.’
In addition, E+E Systems in India is also working with Powersoft as a preferred dealer in the country. ‘Once again, I was impressed with the Indian team led by Poncho,’ furthered Mr Mittelmann. ‘They have a good team in Bangalore, who provide excellent after-sales support.’
Under the management of S-Wave Marketing in the region, Symetrix has also established new distribution terms with E&E for India, Malaysia and Singapore. ‘I was impressed by the Apps and features of the new Jupiter DSP platform; it certainly is a promising and powerful product,’ observed Mr Goh. ‘At E&E, we supply many different scales of projects, and with the Symetrix Jupiter and Symnet ranges, we can cater to them all.’
E&E is distributing Furman Sound’s professional series of power conditioners to Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. ‘The timing to commence distributing EAW, Mackie, Powersoft, Symetrix and Furman couldn’t have been better under the circumstances. All these new brands offer E&E so much future potential,’ Mr Goh concluded.
