SRI LANKA: Dynamic AV Technologies has been appointed sole distributor for TOA Electronics in Sri Lanka, with all TOA products being made exclusively available through Dynamic AV’s showrooms in Colombo and Kandy, as well as through Dealers in Galle, Negombo and Batticaloa. The appointment took place at a special event held on September 27th in Colombo and has been described as part of an ‘aggressive marketing strategy in order to create awareness and make our quality products widely available’ within the country.
Prior to the move, TOA Electronics had already been present in the Sri Lankan market for almost 25 years, though it has publicly expressed dissatisfaction with its profile in the territory. In an official statement, TOA Electronics (Singapore) declared: ‘we believe our products have not had proper exposure in the local market’.
The same statement continued: ‘Having worked with Dynamic AV Technologies in the recent past, we are convinced that the company is the best choice in terms of having the right resources, to aggressively enter the market.’
Dynamic AV Technologies first entered the Sri Lankan A/V sector in 2008. Its managing director, Mohan Abeyasinghe, commented that the appointment has left the company feeling ‘honoured and excited’.
He continued: ‘It a gives us the additional fire power to be the preferred “one stop” A/V solutions provider in the country. During the past several years, there has been a boom in the construction industry, especially in relation to the tourism sector. As such, the need for good, high quality yet affordable audio systems in the corporate sector in the country is very high. TOA has a wide range of quality products and we are confident that together we can offer customers tailor made solutions for all public address and conference system requirements.’
TOA products have already been deployed in recent Dynamic AV Technologies projects including the audio conferencing and interpretation system at Temple Trees, audio conferencing system at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and the public address system at the Sri Lanka Customs building.
