UniAudio Asia hosts dampb training at the Institute of Technical Education

SINGAPORE: UniAudio Asia recently collaborated with ITE West (Institute of Technical Education) and d&b audiotechnik to host a two-day training programme in the grounds of the campus.
Singaporean rental company Titans Production collaborated in the training by providing technical support. Approximately 50 attendees enrolled, and d&b’s training manager Stefan Goertz flew in from Stuttgart specifically for the event.
Having been appointed as direct sales partner in the respective regions for d&b, the UniAudio team presented a more elemental introduction on line array theory and small format systems. Day two’s programme progressed onto larger format systems including the Q and J-series, an approach to speaker/venue modelling, R1 remote software and configuration programmes, followed by a practical hands on training session.
‘We particularly enjoy working with more intimate groups where we can focus on one-on-one interaction where attendees don’t seem to be quite as shy,’ commented Uniaudio Asia MD Yusof Ahmad. ‘However, we can cater for larger groups by splitting the seminars into basic and more advanced classes, whereby the more knowledgeable attendees will generally show up on the second day.
‘We’ve managed to interact with a wide range of different engineers from systems integrators, production companies and dealers,’ he continued. ‘For those who did not manage to turn up for the seminar due to their work schedule, we will visit them and repeat the sessions, wherever possible. The same goes for our two other brands, Wisycom and DPA Microphones,’ he concluded.
