UniAudio Asia to represent Wisycom throughout south-east Asia

ASIA: Newly founded distributor UniAudio Asia has been appointed as the distributor for wireless specialist Wisycom, with company founder and managing director Yusof Ahmad describing the Italian brand as ‘possessing technological insight and foresight in the field of RF. They know very well where their strength lies and drill deep into the subject’.
Launched earlier this year and based in Singapore, UniAudio Asia has been founded by Mr Ahmad to distribute key brands throughout south-east Asia with territories including Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and more.
According to the managing director, the distributor’s philosophy is ‘not only about having great products, UniAudio is comprised of industry practitioners. Not only do they have experience, they have great personalities too. In order to manage all of your planned actions and overcome all unplanned challenges you must believe in your team. I do. Products don't make people work, people make products work.’
Mr Ahmad possesses significant industry experience himself, having most recently worked as sales manager for Sennheiser Electronic Asia Pte Ltd, and before that d&b audiotechnik SEA Pte Ltd. He is also well known in the regional industry for his time at Electronics & Engineering (E&E) Pte Ltd.
The decision to approach Wisycom reportedly follows a long period of ‘careful analysis over various wireless system manufacturers and their products’, with Mr Ahmad explaining that ‘Wisycom leaves the handheld-microphones diaphragm manufacturing process to reputable market leaders like Schoeps. This is, I strongly believe, a winning combination.’
