TAIWAN: UNiKA Professional Audio has become the first Taiwanese manufacturer to sign an OEM partnership deal with Audinate. Under the terms of the agreement, UNiKA will incorporate the Dante networking protocol into its products, while both companies will work together to ‘develop future high-end professional Dante enabled audio products’.
UNiKA, based in Taipei and founded in 1985, manufactures a wide range of audio products including digital power amplifiers, line arrays, mixers, conditioners and crossovers. The company boasts two factories including one located in Guangzhou, while its headquarters has a dedicated R&D facility, alongside management, sales and customer service.
Following the announcement of the deal, UNiKA CEO KC Hwa declared that ‘incorporating Audinate's Dante into future products was a very easy decision for us. They are the future when it comes to digital media networking.’
John McMahon, Audinate’s vice president of sales and support, added: ‘UNiKA has shown the ability to manufacture high quality audio products for over 20 years. Their integrity for design, technical excellence and the longevity of their products makes them the perfect candidate as our first Taiwanese OEM. We are delighted to have them join our growing list of licensees.’
