Visco provides complete Electro-Voice solution for Le Meridien Saigon

VIETNAM: Situated on the banks of the Saigon River, the five-star Le Meridien Saigon Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City has been installed with a complete audio solution to satisfy the building’s public address and professional sound requirements. Total solutions provider and Electro-Voice resellers, Visco, secured the tender for the project having proved its success with similar Electro-Voice related installs in the hospitality sector including at Hyatt Regency Danang, Mecure Danang, Angsana Hotel & Resort and the InterContinental Nha Trang.

The hotel occupies part of a mixed-use 21-storey building and comprises 350 guest rooms and a range of hospitalities. The Electro-Voice speakers have been installed into most areas, including the L‘attitude bar, ballroom, gym, pool, studio, conference and meeting rooms to meet the hotel’s expectation of providing superior sound with high sound pressure levels throughout.

The proposed audio equipment included E-V speakers, subwoofers, microphones and amplifiers that Visco says ensures ‘quality sound performance and full-range sound with richness and clarity’.

‘We selected the Electro-Voice equipment as it is able to provide a complete audio solution including microphones, mixers, amplifiers and speakers,’ explained Visco project manager, Nguyen Tien Dung. ‘Whether it is background music, voice reinforcement or live performance, E-V has the right solution at a competitive price.’

‘Being light-weight and powerful,’ he added, ‘The speakers provided a multitude of flying and mounting options for optimal sound projection across all locations in the hotel.’

EVID 4.2 compact loudspeakers can be found in the restaurants, meeting rooms and outdoor patio areas, while Tour X and ZX speakers create the ambience in the L’attitude bar and Live X speakers swoon visitors to the Ballroom.

‘It was a big challenge for us to array the E-V Sx300E speakers in the Ballroom, but luckily for us, E-V also offered us lots of accessories,’ added Mr Tien Dung. ‘This included mounting brackets and a horizontal array kit that helped the installation run smoothly.’
