Waves launches Everything Audio programme
Published: ASIA
WORLD: Waves Audio has announced a new series of online videos titled Everything Audio. The programmes will present ‘a wide spectrum of audio-related content’ covering topics spanning pro audio and live sound to MI audio, sound for film and gaming, sound design, DJing and electronic music production, as well as some slightly more obscure audio topics such as audio forensics, restoration, psychoacoustics, hearing capacity and aural health. With new episodes occurring regularly, the programmes are intended for anyone with a passion and interest for sound.
‘Waves has long been the leading innovator and pioneer in digital signal processing and related fields, and it is fitting that this new venture offers end users a resource and inside track into the world of audio,’ commented Mick Olesh, Waves’ EVP of sales and marketing. ‘All sorts of surprises are planned for the programme, but the possibilities are massive. We are excited to present Everything Audio to the world and to celebrate the current state of audio.’
The series will be hosted and produced by audio engineer Dave Hampton, an expert in audio recording, production and technical design. Mr Hampton has worked with an enviable list of artists including Herbie Hancock, Prince and Justin Timberlake, to name but a few. Each episode will present a panel of guests from various fields in audio, ranging from music producers, mixers, engineers, artists and musicians to retailers, audio manufacturers and representatives of consumer companies whose products feature audio as a central function. Each guest will present his or her area of expertise while interacting with the others guests to discuss topics moderated by the host. The inaugural episode takes place on 7th October at 2PM ET and will feature guest appearances from producer/engineers Dave Audé, Andrew Scheps and Jack Joseph Puig.
