CHINA: Global technology solutions provider WTS has announced it will open a new branch in Hong Kong under the name WTS Asia Pacific. The Chinese branch will serve the needs of Asia and Australasia.
Jonathan Mortimer, previous head of Snell Asia Pacific, will head-up the operation in partnership with WTS managing director and CEO Ofir Mor.
‘The services we offer at WTS, in particular those of our systems integration business C2S systems, have always had a global focus so we are already delivering integration services to the region,’ said Mr Mor. ‘We've worked with several Asian broadcasters, so we know there is space in the market to grow our business. We want to be able to meet our customers' demands for both quality and price wherever we can, and the new office is a major step towards achieving that goal. Having a local presence in Hong Kong will mean that we can provide our entire range of services at a competitive level for the Asian market.’
‘Our aim is to develop WTS Asia Pacific into a region-wide media services and products supplier, bringing the same value and expertise that the WTS Group already delivers to customers in Europe and Africa to the Pacific region,’ added Mr Mortimer.
