ZSound provides reinforcement for Shenzhen Wakin Chau concert

CHINA: Taiwanese pop superstar Wakin Chau recently used a ZSound front of house rig for a concert in Shenzhen Stadium, named One Life Of Love, A Glass Of Wine. The system was provided by PLA, who also used Ease Focus to determine the best configuration for the event.
Featuring popular songs such as Heart Song, Friends, Along With Love, and Something Only Love Can Do, the concert marked the latest in a long line of collaborations between Mr Chau’s production team and Guangzhou-based ZSound.
The system comprised 32 LA212 elements for front of house reinforcement, plus 24 LA110 enclosures for front-fill and side-fill, 16 double 18-inch SS2 subwoofers for low end, and an M44 digital signal processor for loudspeaker management. A number of MA series switching amplifiers provided power while mixing was performed on two Yamaha PM5D-RH digital consoles plus a Yamaha MG 166 CX 16 analogue desk. A Yamaha SPX990 multi-effects processor was also supplied.
Following the concert, Mr Chau’s front of house engineer, Sun Zhongshu, was enthusiastic regarding the ZSound system, commenting: ‘The audio system design for this show was great and the use of Ease Focus helped to make it far simpler with more precise coverage’.
