3f Music selects Primacoustics

UAE: Primacoustics distributors Melody House has recently supplied a new post-production studio in Dubai called 3f Music. The deal includes a number of Broadway panels and FullTraps.

The studio is a new project by president and founder Farzin Fardin Fard. During his career, Mr Fard has worked with likes of Pedro Eustache and Ramon Stagnaro. The studio will provide a wide range of production services with reportedly some of the best equipment available in the market.

Primacoustic Broadway is a range of fabric covered acoustic panels. Made from high density 6lb per cubic foot glass wool, Broadway panels have up to six times greater density than typical foam panels. The Primacoustic FullTrap is a bass trap that combines a diaphragmatic resonator, a full-size acoustic panel, and a sealed enclosure to provide three-way absorption throughout the full frequency spectrum. The FullTrap’s limp-mass structure reportedly migrates to the most powerful frequencies where it quietly resonates to remove excess bass and subsequent modal frequencies.

‘The studio has been architecturally constructed with acoustics in mind, so this meant that acute and obtuse angled corners resulted in not needing any corner traps,’ commented Simon Short, Primacoustics product specialist. ‘However, they needed to cancel out unwanted reflections and the combination of Broadband and FullTrap panels allowed them to achieve the optimum setting they required.’
