Al Matbouli completes Jeddah project

SAUDI ARABIA: Al Matbouli has completed an A/V and conferencing installation in Jeddah at what it describes as one of its most important projects.
The project has seen Al Matbouli install a Brahler CDSVAN conferencing system which it describes as ‘wonderful’. The solution has been installed for 29 users with 28 DV9 delegate mics and a PV9 chairman microphone. Alongside this is a TOA sound system, an Extron video solution based around a CrossPoint Ultra Matrix 168 and Crestron room control from a Pro2 processor.
The conferencing system has been installed with Arabic language functionality for the voting system. This proved to be a challenge for Al Matbouli, but with support from the manufacturer it was able to alter the system to offer this feature with a touchscreen GUI with the Arabic buttons as graphics.
The conference room’s audio system is made up of eight TOA F-2352C ceiling speakers supplemented by a pair of F-2000BT wall-mounted bass cabinets. Power is via a DA-250FH amplifier while a TOA M-9000 audio matrix/mixer is also in use.
Aside from the Arabic language functionality for the voting, the majority of the challenges for the project came with the visual portion. Minimising the cable runs for the VGA distribution and setting up the audio and visual MATV RF signal were the other major obstacles that needed to be overcome.
