Al Matbouli sees benefits from PNU project

SAUDI ARABIA: Al Matbouli Sound & Communications’ involvement with Princess Noura University (PNU) has seen the company secure a number of further projects. As reported by Pro Audio Middle East last year, the company installed a Christie video wall in the university’s data centre as well as a TOA PA system and A/V solutions from AMX and Extron.

‘PNU was one of the most prestigious projects in Saudi Arabia over the last five years, so to get involved in this as a reference helps us show our capabilities,’ said Magdy Nabawy, country business development manager for Al Matbouli. ‘It has impacted directly in us securing similar projects. The performance of the complete team assigned by our company to the PNU project resulted in us being awarded two similar projects.’

PNU has been a significant contract for a number of companies, not just because of its size and importance as an installation, but also due to the plans that Saudi Arabia’s government has for education in the country. ‘A big portion of the Saudi government’s budget over the last four years and the coming 10 years is dedicated for the improvement and development in education and health, especially for women’s colleges,’ explained Mr Nabawy.

But it is not only with this sector where Al Matbouli has seen the benefits of PNU. It is expecting to have a big share of the low voltage systems, particularly the control and A/V portions, for a number of upcoming projects including those at an airport, a new five star hotel and a prestigious mosque.
