Altincizme use Soundcraft for Sezen Aksu

TURKEY: Istanbul-based rental company Altincizme recently provided a pair of Soundcraft Vi Series consoles as part of the sound reinforcement system for three Sezen Aksu concerts at Istanbul’s Harbiye Open Air Theatre.
The concerts called for a Vi1 at FOH and Vi6 at the stage. FOH sound engineer Serdar Altincizme said he ‘swears by’ the two-screen solution of the Vi, while monitor engineer Kenan Ozkaplan is a regular user of the Vi6.
‘I always request the Soundcraft Vi desks, and it seems like regardless of where I go, the companies are able to provide them,’ claimed Mr Altincizme. ‘There is no substitute, for all the emotions Ms Aksu’s songs portray, the Vi simply absorbs it smoothly and transmits it to the audiences.’
Altincizme was the first Turkish PA company to purchase and use the Vi6 when it was first manufactured, and prior to that, the family business, founded in 1955 by the late Necdet Altincizme, and managed by his sons Serdar and Serhan, boasted over two decades of history with Soundcraft’s analogue line. Today it owns two Vi6 desks, two Vi1s and stageboxes for all of the consoles.
The rental company also receives good local support and service from Samim Mutluer, from Harman Professional distributor, SF Ses ve Isik Sistemleri. ‘These desks are now in demand on almost every single rider,’ concluded Serdar Altincizme. ‘With its comfortable interface and premium pre-amps, it’s easy to see why we prefer it.’
