TURKEY: Istanbul-based rental house, Altınçizme, provided the equipment for the recent Rock’n Coke festival at Istanbul’s Hezarfen Private Airfield. The festival for 35,000 people saw a large JBL VTX system put to use.
The festival’s Main Stage was covered by 32 VTX-V25 cabinets, with low-end taken care of by 24 VTX S28 and 24 VT-4880A subs. A total of 24 VT-4889 were used as out-fills while JBL VRX932LAPs were in position as front-fills. Power for the system was courtesy of 18 Crown V-Rack amplifiers.
‘Crown’s V-Rack system was just right and smooth for The Prodigy’s XL3 vintage set-up to various digital consoles the bands seem to carry along with themselves these days,’ noted Burak Altunay – system engineer for Altinçizme on behalf of SF Ses ve Işık Sistemleri A.Ş, Harman’s distributor for Turkey.
The festival saw performances from Arctic Monkeys, Editors, Hurts, Within Temptation along with many local and international rock bands, with The Prodigy and Jamiroquai as headliners to end the show.
