Antalya Airport installs Bosch EVAC solution

TURKEY: Bosch Security Systems fire detection and voice evacuation systems have been installed at both the domestic and international terminals at Antalya Airport in Southern Turkey.
Antalya Airport is served by 108 airlines, supporting connections with 600 different destinations and transporting more than 25 million passengers a year, therefore positioning it close to the top 50 busiest airports in the world. Across the terminals, local Bosch partner Ateksis has installed 3,500 Automatic Fire Detector 420 Series units, which are connected to six networked Modular Fire Panel 5000 Series devices. These can reportedly be configured and operated via two remote keypads.
The fire detection system interfaces with the Praesideo digital public address and emergency sound system. The PA system encompasses more than 1,800 horn and ceiling loudspeakers, as well as 300 sound projectors, and covers multiple independent zones within the terminal buildings to deliver targeted evacuation instructions. The Praesideo system comprises two network controllers, 48 distributed amplifiers and 25 call stations, and features automatic volume control to increase the sound level as traffic through the building increases.
The two systems are integrated via Bosch’s Building Integration System (BIS), which allows for centralised control and operation. As a result of its modular architecture, the entire system can also be expanded as the airport continues to grow.
