Arike Ariai Complex installs Foujan

IRAN: The 750-seat hall at the Arike Ariai Complex in Amol has been installed with a solution from Foujan Audio. The Khaksar family owned complex is the first such venue for tourists and locals in the northern states of Iran, and will host concerts and shows.
‘When we entered the project we had some problems with reflective acoustics, un-balanced seating distribution in the hall due to placing the stage in a corner not the centre, low ceiling height, no place for sound and light engineers and some more,’ recalled Mr Rastkar, MD of Part Techno Hefaz Kish, the main contractor for the project. ‘We had no budget limit and were looking for quality to solve the problem we had for audio distribution. A collection of brands were on the table, but we went with Foujan for better quality and support under control of technical manager Seyed Mahdi Fatemian.’
The system installed consists of line arrays and flown subs. Due to the low ceiling height, speakers have been added in the centre and right of the hall. Five flown clusters cover the hall, two consist of four K122 line array modules while the other three feature two of the cabinets. Each hang has low end support from a flown KB18 sub. A further two line array modules have been placed in front of the stage with two ground stacked subwoofers. Another two line array modules are flown at the side of the stage to enable the same mix and image on stage as in FOH. Each two K122 modules are driven by a 2,400W+700W biamplified amplifier, while each sub is powered by its own 2,400W amplifier. The speakers have been custom-painted as per the client’s request.
Completing the Foujan solution, on stage, eight of the manufacturer’s AL38 passive stage monitors are driven by four 2,400W amplifiers.
