Army concert hall installs FBT

IRAN: The army concert hall in Isfahan has installed an FBT Mitus line array system supplied by Iranian distributor Shidco. The project was co-ordinated by Baztab Audio & Video Group with managing director Vafa Jafar Zadeh taking a particular interest in the installation.
The concert hall has been designed as a multipurpose venue, and as such it required a system that could handle speech as well as music.
The auditorium now features left-right hangs of six Mitus 206LA compact line array cabinets per side with a pair Mitus 212FSA flyable subwoofers above the 206LAs providing low end. On stage, four of the manufacturer’s 210MA monitor wedges have been put to use. The FBT equipment also extends into the control room which features a pair of Jolly 8BA monitors.
For microphones, the concert hall has opted for a solution from Taiwanese manufacturer JTS. Four of the manufacturer’s MH8800 wireless handheld units have been supplied, along with 12 TK-600 dynamic cardioid mics and four NX-8 vocal performance microphones.
The reason behind the selection of the FBT system was reportedly due to its sound quality and technical specifications. Further to this, its small size and the ease with which it can be arrayed were also important factors.
It was a two month project to install the equipment, and the biggest challenge was reportedly proving the suggested solution would be able to meet the concert hall’s needs. Faith in the system design was ultimately rewarded with its first test in a full room when the solution reportedly performed all of the tasks specified in the design.
