Atempo covers Pope Francis

TURKEY: The Presidency of Religious Affairs of Turkey called on Atempo to install a new system to cover the recent visit of Pope Francis. The installed solution included equipment from d&b audiotechnik, Midas and Electro-Voice.
To cover the event, Atempo installed a main flown L-R system consisting of three d&b 10A cabinets hung below a 16A Sub per side. A further eight Electro-Voice Evid 4.2 speakers were distributed around the room for surround, while four powered Electro-Voice ELX cabinets were used for monitors.
The microphone package was entirely from Electro-Voice. Atempo put to use a pair of the manufacturer’s PC Desktop mics as well as a pair of R300 wireless mics. Completing the setup was a Midas Pro1 mixing console.
The final element supplied by Atempo for this visit was sound engineer Selim Tosun, who was present to coordinate the entire event.
Pope Francis visited Turkey’s President of Religious Affairs Dr Mehmet Görmez in Ankara on the first day of his visit in Turkey. The meeting marked only the fourth occasion that the head of the Catholic church had visited Turkey.
