Australian Monitor expands VV & Sons distribution to cover Oman and Qatar

MIDDLE EAST: Dubai-based distributor VV & Sons is to represent Australian Monitor in both Oman and Qatar in an extension of its current UAE distribution agreement with the manufacturer. The move will also see VV & Sons open dedicated offices in both territories with storage facilities to follow, facilitating quick supply and after-sales service.
‘VV & Sons have been our distributor in the UAE for many years now and we feel that the market has matured to the point where the other territories can benefit from having a dedicated distributor who’s there to service the customers,’ explained Australian Monitor regional sales manager Richard Hulston. He added: ‘We’ve got a really good partner and we’re working well together – we want to grow that’.
The agreement has reportedly already taken hold in Oman, with Qatar set to follow shortly. ‘We started the Oman operation last month,’ clarified VV & Sons’ Davis Varkey. ‘Now it is coming to Qatar as well. We are very happy to have Australian Monitor on board for another market. We are starting with offices in both territories immediately and then gradually growing into small showrooms as well as storage facilities.’
Mr Hulston added that the agreement is intended to make Australian Monitor products available to a far broader section of the market than has previously been the case.
‘We’ve been in both of these markets before with integrators who have grown in that time,’ he commented. ‘But it’s great for us to have a dedicated distributor with offices – it gives us a whole-of-market presence in those territories. It’s proactive and it is strategic.’
