MIDDLE EAST: A/V manufacturers Extron and Prysm will be showing their capabilities at Palme-Middle East, taking place May 1-3 at the Dubai InternationalConvention and Exhibition Centre.
Extron will give pride of place to its new XTP CrossPoint Systems and SME 100 live H.264 encoder for streaming audio, video and computer-video signals. The company has enjoyed several recent successes in the Middle East, none more than at the Qatar Robotic Surgery Centre, which is filled with da-Vinci surgical robots, laparoscopic simulators, and 3D telecast equipment. The technology is used to demonstrate new medical robots and train surgeons from Qatar and the region.
At the same time, display manufacturer Prysm will showcase its videowall product after a busy year in the region. Palme visitors will have the chance to view a 6x4 videowall, alongside one of Prysm’s digital mannequin displays. The team will also be demonstrating multi channel content to enable integrators to view its performance in multiple applications.
‘Palme is an excellent platform for us to showcase the TD1 tile to the Middle East market, and it is a region where we are already actively engaging in some high profile projects,’ said Steve Scorse, vice president of Prysm EMEA. ‘We see the UAE as a core market for Prysm technology, and we’re looking forward to meeting up with more integrators and partners and showcasing the technology again this year.’
