AV-Tech completes screen project

QATAR: AV-Tech has completed a turnkey LED screen project for the Children’s play area at Aspire Zone in Doha. The scope of work included an 8m high, 11m wide outdoor LED video display, building management system, fire suppression, air conditioning, MEP and civil works.
The systems integrator opted for LED modules from Daktronics for the screen. It features outdoor weather resistant display walls with high brightness and contrast.
Following the design and approval of the system, the company took just 70 working days to complete the design and fabrication of the structural steel and the on-site installation of the electrics, air-conditioning, fire suppression, BMS, and civil works. The Daktronics LED modules were shipped directly from the factory in US, and the subsequent testing and commissioning required 10 working days.
The display is being used to show sports events, advertisements and as screen for PlayStation every weekend.
The client reportedly has ‘full appreciation of the performance of the screen’ and as a result it has awarded AV-Tech with a second project. This will see the company install two trailers with a 3.85m high by 5.2m wide LED screen fitted to either side of each trailer.
