Avid aids Alghad Alarabi

EGYPT: Alghad Alarabi TV has selected the Avid MediaCentral Platform to facilitate collaboration between its London headquarters and its new facility in Cairo. The two sites will work together to coordinate newsroom operations for its regional studios across the Arab world.
‘To help us access, distribute and monetise our media more efficiently across our network of channels and regions, we required a workflow that was flexible and scalable enough to meet these commercial and operational demands,’ said Yasser Youssef, head of technical operations at Alghad Alarabi TV. ‘Avid MediaCentral Platform enabled us to collaborate seamlessly across the two continents. It was quite a challenge for us to have one station in London and another in Egypt needing to manage and share assets instantly, efficiently and at low cost.
