Avid hosts Dubai training

UAE: Avid recently hosted a three-day sales and technical training session for its pro audio dealers at Amwaj Rotana, in Dubai. The session attracted 25 dealers from the Middle-East, Africa, India, Turkey, and former CIS countries.

The training was conducted by the sales managers Nadiyam Ravisankar and Mathieu Rouxel, partner account managers Trevor Phipps and Serge Durand and solution specialist manager Dave Tyler and solution specialist Sreejesh Nair.

The first day was dedicated to training on how to succeed in sales, with a focus on the sales process including identifying and qualifying sales opportunities and the step by step methodology to close the sale. The dealers reportedly appreciated the importance of building a healthy sales pipeline and the insights provided into breaking down the sales process into quantifiable steps.

The second and third day covered the complete audio product range from Avid, including the new Fast Track Solo and Duo, Control Surfaces, HD I/O series, HDX, HD Native and the newly launched Pro Tools 11.

The products were introduced and explained by Dave Tyler and Sreejesh Nair, providing the dealers with a look under the hood of the Pro Tools hardware and software. They were highly interactive sessions with a lot of questions around the technology behind the products, their unique selling points and market positioning. It also involved a hands on session where the attendees worked with Pro Tools 11, HD I/O peripherals and the controllers.
