Avid releases From Creation to Final Mix series

EMEA: Avid has released a six part video series charting the creative process of South African band The Arrows and Grammy-nominated producer Fab Dupont as they work together to take their demo idea all the way to a complete set of recorded audio and Midi tracks ready for final mixing.
Building on the original Pro Tools session, they record new soft synth themes, bass and guitar tracks with their Pro Tools | HD Native Thunderbolt mobile rig. In the first two episodes, Mr Dupont has explained how to master the art of drum editing and vocal recording using his Pro Tools | HDX studio setup.
According to the manufacturer, ‘for your music to get the exposure it deserves, your recordings need to be engaging and well-produced. Watch our new six-part video series, featuring Grammy-nominated producer Fab Dupont (Toots and the Maytals, Shakira) and South African band The Arrows, and get a behind-the-scenes look at how Fab uses Pro Tools 11 to take a song from basic demo to final polished mix.’
The video series covers how Mr Dupont’s role of producer plays in The Arrows’ music creation process. Viewers will also get insight and production tips and tricks for improving their own recordings.
As an extra feature, viewers can download the featured tracks and produce their own version of The Arrows’ song. This mix can then be shared with the world and viewers can enter a competition to win a copy of Pro Tools.
